Headed to Mark Twain lake, staying at Mark Twain landing on 4/24-4/26. I have never been there B4 and was wondering what to chase ...crappie or LM. I expect the crappie bite to be on so hopefully I get enough for a fish fry, then focus on LM.

Any pointers???

didn't do to well. got there thursday afternoon and spent a couple hours touring the lake. Had horrible weather Friday. tornado warnings friday afternoon. Saturday was clear but air temp only around 55 with 15-18 mph winds. Water temps were 55-59 deg. depending where i was on the lake. Caught 4 bass total in about 11 hours of total fishing time over the 2.5 days. fished mainly indian creek and lick creek. Weather was too windy (for the wife) to explore other areas of the lake. Fish were caught on jerkbaits and strike king rattle traps. biggest weighed 2.4lbs.

(Crappie fisherman were doing decent)

fishin was tough over the weekend. but managed to do well in the tournament.
caught 3 fish the first day on rocky points, 10.53lbs with a 6.32 kicker
caught 3 fish on spawning flats 2nd day, 11.39lbs with a 5.58 kicker.

water temp hovered back and forth from 54-60 degrees, depending on if it was snowing and windy or calm and 70degrees out. lol
