I'm relatively new to the McHenry area, and I'm looking for some tips to fish the McHenry Dam. Like to fish for walleye, smallies, and largemouth. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

For now the 'eyes are a bit sluggish, if you're fishing the dam. Jig and a small fathead have been producing a few, none of any size. The weather has been fluctuating lately and the fish don't seem to know whether or not to bite.
As for small and largemouth I have no idea but you can catch some small stripers a bit south of the "island" using a floating jighead and small minnows.
