Yep, and yep.

Head to Moline. Put in at Sunset Marina. its not too hard to find. Take 88 though, although, 80 will get you there, just go a little nort.

FLW event this year at moline, plus a championship a few years back there.

If you take I5 (how many folks remember THAT), take a right where it ends. Bait shop a few blocks down on left. Get bait. Follow the same road nort, to the walgreens (at the light) take a left. This is the road to sunset.

A couple of wing dams right out front.

Plus rock river entrance always pretty good. Work the last rock river bridge down to the mississippi vertical jigging.

I fished where the Rock comes into the Miss.Good spot :)30 .Also fished
not to far I think east other way from the big bridge.Some small river or creek with a powerplant and dangerous current by the small plant.But man it was full of fish.no eyes though :tons of whites and stripes.

I'm a bigot for Lock and Dam 4 in the town of Alma Wi.....an hour or so North of LaCrosse.....

From my house it's 5 1/2 hours....

I'm going back in late April....
