Went to montrose this morning, out on the shoe. I was looking for trout or salmon. Not having done much of that kind of fishing before, I got my ass kicked, big time. I'm not stupid though and I did learn one thing. If you want coho, you MUST powerline. If you think you can cast for them, you are wasting your time. It's a pain in the ass, but the proof is in the pudding. The guy next to me spent 20 mins. setting up and then had three beauts inside of another 45 mins. All were coho, between 18/22 inches, caught on night crawlers at around 6:30-7:00.

Don't eat too much, but hoist a few.

The coho are just not in . When the school moves in you will be able to get them by casting . It`s fishing some days good others not. The coho will be there when the water warms a little more and the alwifes come in.
