Wish I would've caught tunafish's 4/11 report before heading out this AM. Fished 6:30 to 9:50 at Navy Pier with not even a tap. I was west of the west garage at a deep spot that had been producing limits less than 10 days ago--even when other folks were catching few. But all I got was the skunk today.
Felt depressed, so I headed to Montrose. Ended up hooking a real nice brown on a smaller orange/gold Cleo, only to realize my net was 8 feet behind me on the bench. I tried to keep that fat boy on while I stepped back and stretched, but it wiggled off just as I was putting the net down over the edge to scoop it. D'oh! No more hits after that. Called it quits at 12:30.
