You can find fish in and around any harbors all year although it can be hit or miss. Perch run at different times and Navy Pier (back/north side) can be amazing when they're on. Trout and salmon run during the Spring and Fall and people catch them in the harbors and around mouths. The river also holds a variety of fish. Tons of people catch carp and cats out of the river. There are also bluegill, crappie, and the occasional bass there. Oh and perch venture up the river too.Is it worth throwing a line in around downtown Chicago, north of the pier up to Oak Street beach? If so for what and what type of lure / bait? What about Navy Pier?
Thanks in advance.
