You might get a brown or two at night, but at this time of year, it is much better when the sun is out warming the surface water. Although, we have caught them before while we had a line out while smelt fishing. Stick with the live bait. Bass Kid, where were you that you got kicked out?

FYI Parks in Chicago do close at either 1030 or 1100 PM and they usually put a gate across the entrance so chances are if you did launch and then tried to leave after they closed it you would have been sitting there till about 5AM. Portage public Marina is open all night so far but last year somebody trashed the bathrooms during chinook season in the middle of the night so now they are not open to us and if it continues another all night launch will be closed.

And yet even after the trashing Portage was still conciderate enough to put out a Port-O-John for us! All it takes is one or two idiots to screw up a real good thing for everyone!
