Was out from 10:30 - 1:00. Totally beautiful day even if the wind kicked up quite a few times. Was hitting the smallies just south of North Aurora watching for the slack water. Most were small 10"-12" holding up within inches of the shore usually in a deep pocket. Using a jig and black/white twist tail.

Moved up to Batavia for a short while and again the same size smallies.. what was most disconcerting was the number of SNAKES!! in the water. Good lord, I definately kept my toes out of the water today. Sure, I know they probably are totally harmless, but ya know, scaring me to death is an option.
