Friday afternoon 4pm til dusk, went looking for steelhead found my crappies. Caught and released 8 slabs, all took hop rocker jig. Fish were high in the water column next to docks, polarized glasses really helped find them. Also caught a mess of bluegill in the same areas, but no steelhead.
Saturday morning sunrise til 'bout 9:30am. Where did the crappie go? Started in search of the school I crossed on Friday no luck finding them early. Caught a small steelhead and several bluegill all on jig and wax worms. Saw what looked to be some crappie cruise in and out but no takes. No fishing on Sunday, looking to the weekdays after work 'til dark. Always interesting spring on Lake Michigan.
