North Side 3/18
Made a quick stop at lunch 'bout 25 minutes worth of swinging micro jigs for crappies. Several takers, somewhat finicky. Thought about quitting work then thought about losing income to buy fishing gear, went back to work.
Later 4pm til dusk, more jig swinging more crappie some bluegill still finicky. Could see the crappie inhale and exhale bait in split second without a hint of line movement. Managed to land some nice ones. They definitely prefered a slow swing on the retrieve not much of a drop and very little twitch. Pretty tough bite, but well worth the effort to catch and release some very nice fish. Think catch & release on natural reproducing fish.
