Caught my first bass of the spring today. A nice fat 20 incher on a Cabin Creek jig, pumpkinseed color, in shallow water on north side of pond

Nice fish! What does a 20" fish weigh? The reason I ask is that I pulled in a 20-1/8" fish Friday afternoon the 15th at a CCFP lake. I've got a pic. Did you take a photo? If so let's see the hawg... Mine was my first fish this year and on my 3rd cast! -- PURPLEWORM....

A 20-inch bass I caught last year was 3 lb 12 oz on a digital scale. My brother got a 19 1/2 inch fish that weighed 3lb 10 oz.

So depnding on a lot of conditions a 20-inch bass should be between 3 1/2 and 4 pounds.

mmm, my biggest bass last year was 5.4 lbs. How long would it be? Caught it with a electric grape colored 8 inch ribbontail powerbait on a 1/0 gold hook. Weighed it on a electric scale.

Just got back from Tennessee this afternoon. I was fishing Fort Loudoun pre-fishing for a tournament with my cousin who lives down there. My friend caught a 20" smallmouth and it weighed 4# 11 oz. Let me tell you that thing was a pig. I caught a 19 1/2" LMB and it was only 4#. The smallies are on the bed down there now.
