Fished Powerton today for the first time. Water temps were 60 at the discharge, 48 on the cool side. Found all our fish on the COOL side of the lake, west face of the west-most dike. Wind was blowing in to this dike and fish were close to the rip-rap. Managed 4 smallmouth between 12 and 15". No keepers. Fish hit jig and twister tails. No fish on crankbaits, spinnerbaits, spinners, rattlebaits.
Other fishermen at the ramp reported taking between 3 and 6 fish for the day. I'd rate today as just "fair".
