Going to Reelfoot in two weeks. Staying at Cypress Point. Any Advice for what to use for crappie and bass. Crappie are srarting there move into the shallows from winters deep water. I'm not much for chasing bass so here I could use some help. My Guess would be jig & pig around the stumps. Anyone stay at Cypress Point before.

I went to Reelfoot last year in March. We fished the deep water 18' to 22'. I'm not sure about the shallows, but if the fish are deep we used slip bobbers with two 1/16 jigs with minnows about a foot apart. We kept up with the guys with the spider rigs(8 - 10' rods with 5 hooks on each). I would think jigs with slip bobbers in the shallows would work too. If you are bringing your own boat keep it slow, there are stumps everywhere. Good luck. -JimS
