Yea, but I only caught a very small pike under the bridge at Washington. I've heard good things, but I must be doing something wrong. Every survey with the electric probe has scores of big smallies right downtown. Probably has to do with the water level. It was like a foot deep when we canoed through there.

Saw some people out the other night when I was out on a date with the missus. Guys were catching smallies and carp between Main and Webster.

Of course, upstream, if you noodle around with Google maps, there's a fantastic spot to gain access to the spillway from the back parking lot of some offices. Otherwise, it's quite a hike from the entrance of McDowell forest preserve. I've caught some nice smallies on a nice sunny day under the spillway.
