I am planning a trip next weekend to fish for steelhead on the root river. I could use any advice on flies to use and where to go in would be great! I am a rookie when it comes to steelhead! Thanks guys!
No pun intended but black wooly buggers and small egg patterens have been working for me. If we don't get much rain hit the cable bridge and fish small white tubes and a couple waxies under a float. The waters a little deeper and you can sometimes pick up staging fish. Here another OK site, you have to do a lot of reading to get a little information. I you hook up with just a couple you'll have a riot. Good luck
