I plan on fishing Shabbona this weekend. I have a few questions:1) Are the muskies active at this time of year? 2) Is trolling a wothwhile option? 3)Live or artificials
and 4) Any particular lake areas?

scumfrog how did you do. i had a 6lb bass on twice off shore. it was to much to haul over the cattails with my 5weight rod and size 12 hook. ugliest bass i ever saw had green fuzzy slime growing on its back, was over 20 inches.

I couldn't get out due to last minute changes in plans. (Kids, wife etc). Good job on the bass though! Damn cattails! I will reort when I go...next weekend?

Pound the shoreline in the NMZ and troll the bays. Super Shad Raps and Floating Rapalas are always god this time of year. Good Luck.
