whats up with shabonna lake it s not open yet but is any one catching fish from shore

Shabbona is open. I went out on saturday and donated a couple crankbaits to the fish cribs. I didn't get a bite, I think we'll need a couple more weeks b4 the bass start up. The wind a little heavy and that made things a bit tougher.

The guys at the lake are renting boats on weekends and will start renting during the week in April. http://www.kevinwakeman.comI always rent boats when I fish Shabbona. I've found the boats at the park to be very clean and in good running order. This time of year I'd pound the shoreline in the NMZ and troll the bays. Super Shad Raps and Floating Rapalas are always good this time of year. Good Luck.
