Has anyon been having any luck fishing the Skokie Lagoons from shore? I sure haven't. How about Beck or Big bend lake? Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

I've fished Big Bend and don't waste your time. Skokie Lagons can be hot at times don't give up they are in there!

Big bend is a waste mostly.

Beck is alright. Always take a walk and head on the other side. From facing the lake in the parking lot walk counter clock wise and try along shore. I usally hit the island from my boat and will yeild a couple of bass from the Island. Other then that, early spring is best along shore. Beck has wally's, some pike and bass. But, I've never caught a walleye out there.??? Good luck, Lagonns can be really hot, but just never for ME. =(((

In Beck, facing the lake, try the whole right side with a spinnerbait or a Rat'L'Trap while you are walking. I and my daughter have caught bass along that side in spring and early summer. There are a couple cribs along that area, but pretty far out.
