Fished a small lake in far south burbs this past Sunday--what looked like bad fishing weather was anything but..NE wind had minnows/shiners stacked against south and SWest side of lake--threw 3 in. Berkley power monnow on hook w/no weight and killed the largemouths. Caught 9 2lb+ and 10 more 1-2lbs..swithed to a blood red bass assasin and caught 8 more--even caught a 15in crappie on the assasin. Caught a few more on a 5 in. floating rapala-anything that resembled a minnow was hit
hard..fished 10am to 3pm
