:)22Fished the fox yesterday between Oswego and Montgomery. Very slow, but my partner and I each caught one. I was amazed to find in some protected water, smallies of 3 to 5 inches by the hundreds hugging the bottom in shallow water. That speaks volumes for the fishery for tomorrow!

Hi there - just wondering what the smallies you did catch were hitting this early? WHere'd you find em? Are they still deep or starting to migrate/stage on the edges? Thanks...

:)25We caught the smallies on small spinners with plastic bodies and tipped with small minnows. We had just a couple of bites but they were very hard bites. We were fishing shallow out of the current. The water may have been a tad warmer than the heavy current water. I fished the dam at Yorkville last week and had no luck with smallies, but was it nice to get out in nature.
