Ok, after going to the bassmaster classic a couple of years ago, i've always wondered how Woo Daves caught all those huge smallies on Lake Michigan. I'm used to fishing on the Dupage Rivor so i dont know nothing about the lake. Does anyone know what i have to do to catch some of them. Do i need a boat or can i shore fish?

if your shore bound you can still fish the lake front. you can try some of the harbors but the easiest place i found to work from shore is the wall that starts at the adler planetarium and runs down around the shedd and ends up in chicago harbor. here's a link to a photo of a smallie i caught right in front of the shedd, i think it's the 3rd fish down. good luck http://www.chicagolandfishing.com/image ... page2.html

if your the same guy who was catching the largemouth's in belmont this week, you seem to have figured it pretty good. the timing on the smallmouth's just might have been off a little. if your not the same anonymous, go read the other anonymous's report on the lake michigan bass board. dave
