I know that the North unit is trolling motors only. Can you use an outboard in the South unit, and is thre a 10hp limit?

Outboards are permitted in the South Unit in Monster, Eagle, and Ponderosa Lakes only. There is a no-wake rule. Last year, there was no specific HP rule. Expect enforcement of no-wake rule this year. They'll also be checking fishing licenses and boat registrations at the ramp, either going in or coming out. The North Unit is electric only.

Turn east on Kankakee Street like you're going to the south Braidwood parking lot. Keep going east past the south Braidwood parking lot about 1 - 1.5 miles, a little ways past a farmhouse on your left there is a left hand turn onto gravel access road that has south unit signage.
