Fished my old standby on Sunday, a local subdivision retention pond. Weeds just starting to come up and water very high. Cold and windy. Wind out of northwest. I usually catch a fish a minute, mixed bag of crappies, bass and gills. I was amazed at the slow fishing even under tough conditions. This time, 1 bass 16" and one 9" crappie. So windy, tough to fish. Nothing on twisters or Rapalas. Resorted to crappie minnows and got those two. Back out in a few.
