As far as fishing goes: I was so desperate to go fishing, I endured the temps in the 30's and the rain and wind. I fished for 4 hours and it was slow. I had one follow up from a NICE Pike, and it watched my bait and swam away. Did not have any other action. River should heat up by next weekend.

I also tried the Kish Sunday more near Dekalb. It was really wet and cold, but nice to be in the river again. The water was really clear and low. Hopefully next weekend helps. Where were you when you had the follow from the pike and what were you using?

I talked to a guy that caught a 36" pike Saturday. Gurler rd 1 mile south of DeKalb. They seem to be spawnning a little late this year. It was returned to the kish.
