Floated down one of my favorite sections of river yesterday. Fished between 2pm and 6:30 pm. Started out watching a couple guys zip past in a canoe, then a guy in a kayak. They both cruised by some of the best holes without making any casts. After they passed, I proceeded to catch a pair of 15" and several smaller smallmouth. Got just above some nice rapids and nailed a beautiful 18" smallie. Finished up with several more dinks, a 17" and one more beautiful 18.5", and one 14" largemouth. The water is crystal clear, low, and has lots of moss, and grass floating in it as well. They were hungry for the crawfish too. Caught them all on a rage tail craw rigged up weedless. They were all solid fighters too.
