When the water warms up and water clears up a little anybody want to hit the surf with me? All you need is a pair of waders, rod and gear. Just a warning though... I don't stop moving so be ready for some exercise. I fish anywhere from Winthrop Harbor to Waukegan so if you want just PM me. Want to make some fishin' buddies. :-D

I fish Zion to dude! Hey I bought some Frogg Toggs and I don't like them to much... They were only 85 I think and they leak at the seams... I would suggest if you do buy them or BPS I would definatly put on some Aquaseal on the seams when you get them... Just in case as for wader boots. I would just get rubber with studs on the bottom. Chest or waist high waders are more than enough. I wouldn't get insulated waders though. You burn up in the summer! You can always put layers underneath and take them away if you get hot... I like breathable ones.

I'll be out there... Just finishing up my fly boxes.

Sounds like a great change from pier fishing, especially when things get crowded. After seeing your post I headed up to Bass Pro Shop to check out waders, but went blurry-eyed looking at all the choices. :)30 Thanks for the tips on choosing the right pair. I'm closest to Goverment Pier, so will look at Google Earth for something up north.

I have caught Bass, Salmon, Trout, Pike, Walleye. I've caught only 1 or 2 pike and only 2 walleyes but they are there sometimes. I'm Fly fishing most of the time so it's harder for me to catch Walleye and Pike in the surf. I know I will see you guys this season. You can get some really good waders from Redington and Orvis they have a new pair of waders out this year where the seams are "Welded" instead of "Sewin" and I hear they are indestructable so if you have 200 to drop I would DEFINATLY recommend checking them out. :)2 :)2

Hi guys, I think now is the time to talk about surfing. Spring warmth is approaching and I'm already slowly going to the beach to the waves, I've updated my equipment here easy-surfshop.com/ and I'm looking forward to the moment when I can break out to the sea. Who is a surf fan like me? How do you prepare for the season?
