Its time for jigs and stingers again.Does anybody have a way of tying stingers on a jig.I use a polomar knot most of the time for everything when I try to tie a stinger on with a polomar I end up with the stinger 8or 10 inches from the jig.I use number 10 trebles. My hands aren't very nimble wich makes it worse. The store bought ones from northland are great but on some snagging days that can get exspensive.Maybe it doesn't matter to have all that line betwwen the jig and the stinger.I was just wondering if someone had any better ways of doing it.

I have a small package of pre-made stingers. They have a #10 treble and a line between 1 and 2" long with a loop on one end. The loop is dipped in rubber of some sort. You just take one of these, and poke the hook from your jig through the "rubber knot" on the stinger line and you're set. They don't fall off or come off accidentally. I know galyans and Ed Shirley's have these, and they were only a couple bucks.

I like to go with fire ball jigs for 2 reasons
1 they are a short shank hook, so it keeps the minnow close the the jig, and it is easy to run the hook in the mouth and out the top of the head.
2 they has an eye under the hook bend so that you can use the pre made stingers and just clip them on to the eye
