Hey guys:

I am planning a vacation in Wisconsin for the last week of June. I am from Chicago and would like to drive no longer than 3 to 4 hours. I would prefer something that is right on a lake, with all of the goodies (AC, kitchen, boat rental, etc.) because I will also have my wife with me. I have many brochures from the sport shows earlier this year but I wanted to get some expert opinions from people who know Wisconsin. Thanks in advance for the info.

I may be biased, but my parents run Edgewater Resort on the petenwell Flowage. Thats about 40 miles north of dells. They have everything you want. 100 yards of shore fishing, cabins have all your requests. Each cabin comes with 14 foot boat, no motor,but they rent electrics and they have a pontoon that they rent. Check out Chetek.net resorts,Lake maps, past fishing reports. Just north of Eau Claire. Get a real feel for a family rec. area. That's where I'm taking the youngun's and mom,coincidently,end of June.
