Went there a few times when I used to live in Bolingbrook. All I ever caught in the ponds there was Trout. Nice sized rainbows in the 15"-17" range. I know there are also bass and catfish in there but it seems it was always trout that I would see people catch. Especially right after one of the weekly stockings. 1/2 crawler under a slip bobber set at about 3'-4' depth got the trout. You do need to buy a special permit to fish there. Wasn't sure if you knew that or not. They sell them right there in the little bait shop that's there. Also once they start stocking it for the season call ahead and try to find out what day the next stocking will be. The day or two right after a stocking is your best bet there. 8
16 and over needs the permit. You don't need an actual Illinois license to fish there just the permit from Bolingbrook Park District that runs the facility. Click on the link below for more info.
