I can say that Federal funding has been approved for Phase II of the Environmental Impact Study, which is expected to take up to 2 years to complete.
Of course Phase I already approved the taking of the land (for the purpose of building an airport). If an airport is not built, the State will still own the land, and what they do with it after that is anyone's guess.
We are hoping that with the new political climate, we can get them to stem the eminent domain proceedings until the EIS is complete, and you can bet this time around some of us will be scrutinizing that information.
