Has anyone fished the ponds on the north & south sides of Schaumburg roads by the police station? The pond on the north side is the one where they rent paddle boats.

I drive by there pretty often and I don't think I have ever seen anyone fishing there.

Ok, smitty if the lake you refer to is Volceing or something close to that, they caught carp and bullhead with the biggest bag of fish weight of 46lbs of mostly carp. The biggest fish of the day was caught while using tutti-frutti flavored corn no joke.

I fish there all the tame mostly carp and bullhead medium sized carp some get really big on southern part....but dont fish there i always find dead ducks and like dead stuff there its gross. I top water fish off the docks in summer on the northern lake on a good day you could get about 10 carp in an hour and maybe lose 1 that swims under the dock(lost allot that way)Worth fishing if you like carp though

NEVER FISHED THOSE TO BODIES OF WATER. I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYBODY CATCH FISH THERE. HOWEVER THE PARK DISTRICT PONDS AND SUBDIVISION PONDS ARE HOME TO SOME GOOD SIZE FISH. HARD PART IS NOT LETTING THE LOCATIONS OUT. I'VE CAUGHT LMB UP TO 7 LBS AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT A 34 INCH PIKE OUT OF THESES LITTLE HONEY HOLES. TRY THE PONDS ALONG WALNUT NORTH AND SOUTH OF SCHAUMBURG ROAD.

I've fished the ponds on Walnut quite a bit. I was wondering about the pond on Schaumburg rd because I could take the kids ice fishing off of the docks without having to worry about the ice conditions.

well FINFIDDLER. I am sorry but im gonna tell u that your wrong. they didnt drain the whole pond just enough to do the stones and new fountain. And also i pull 5-12lb carp out of Volkening lake all day. You just dont know how to fish for them there. During the summer ill challenge u to a carp tourniment. And ill teach u how to catch them at volkening. You will be suprised how big and how maby there are in that lake.
And for the ponds on walnut u must be talking about Walnut and Weathersfield. That pond is not any good, and neither is Grey Farm Park. which is on walnut.
